Drive Strategic HR Impact Across a Growing Energy Business
Avanti Gas are looking for a strategic HR Business Partner who can balance operational excellence with forward-thinking people initiatives, working collaboratively across our UK LPG operations.
We are seeking an experienced HRBP to become embedded within our business, anticipating needs, delivering pragmatic solutions to complex challenges, and acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees across all levels.
The OpportunityAs HR Business Partner, you will be the key focal point for HR matters across our diverse workforce, including drivers, engineers, depot managers, and office-based teams. You will provide strategic guidance while maintaining hands‑on involvement in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and, when required, organisational change.
Working as part of UGI International, you will have the opportunity to contribute to HR programmes both within the UK and across our European business UGI International business. You will champion our values and culture while ensuring we remain compliant, efficient, and focused on employee engagement.
This is more than a generalist HR role—it's an opportunity to shape how we support our people, balancing strategic priorities with day‑to‑day operational demands.
What You Will Be Doing- Serve as the trusted partner for stakeholders, becoming established within the departments you support and proactively anticipating business needs.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, employment law, and organisational matters, ensuring pragmatic and compliant resolution of complex challenges.
- Drive effective performance management across the annual cycle, coaching managers on techniques and supporting personal and career development opportunities.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and support the development of action plans at organisational and departmental levels.
- Deliver timely data analytics including KPIs, FTE, attrition and attendance reporting, supporting regional employee budget creation and delivery.
- Champion change by actively participating in UGI International projects as lead or team member, supporting the implementation of the HR strategic roadmap.
- Ensure company policies remain current with legislation and are applied consistently across the organization.
- provide payroll support during periods of absence.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification with minimum of three years business partnering experience in a complex or matrix organization.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and regulations with experience supporting employee relations topics at all levels.
- Experience in HR data analysis and management information reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational delivery while maintaining high internal customer focus.
- Coaching and development skills with proven change and project management capability.
- Resilience, negotiation and mediation skills with effective planning and organisation abilities.
- Team player who can work autonomously and handle conflicting priorities effectively.
- Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 plus a target bonus of 12%
