Mental Health Support Worker – Waking Nights

Pay rate: £14.18 per hour

36 hours per week – Waking nights 20:00 – 08:00

We’re looking for upbeat, engaging support workers to join a mixed‑gender team working with a young person on a 2:1 basis with mild learning disabilities, schizophrenic personality disorder, ADHD, mental health needs and physically challenging behaviours in their own home in Chesterfield. They enjoy going camping in the woods, are into fitness, love music and going out to local pubs.

• Provide support with daily living tasks and promote independence.
• Assist with financial management and ensure spending is requested through the team.
• Support the client’s mental health needs and respond appropriately to challenging behaviours.
• Work full time, hold a full UK driving licence and have previous experience working within mental health services.

• Resilient, calm, consistent and non‑judgemental.
• Experienced in working with people with mental health and personality disorder diagnoses.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
• Experience guiding someone with risky or impulsive behaviours.
