Overview
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a permanent Band 5 Paediatric Audiologist to join the Children's Hearing Services. The service comprises 5 Paediatric Audiologists, 5 Clinical Scientists and 4 Newborn Hearing Screeners.

The post may include some weekend working on a rota basis.Location and requirements
The post will be based across several sites in North Derbyshire to deliver clinics. A full current driving licence is essential; you may be asked to transport equipment between sites, so access to reliable transportation or a car is essential. For applicants with a disability, suitable alternative arrangements may be agreed if necessary.
About the serviceAs an IQIPS accredited service we offer the opportunity to work within a highly skilled paediatric team. This role provides opportunities to develop and extend educational and clinical skills as a paediatric audiologist. We work with Derbyshire Hearing Support (Education) Services, a Paediatric Consultant with special interest in aetiological investigation of PCHI, Paediatricians and the ENT Service. We provide a range of routine and more specialist services including newborn hearing diagnostics, hearing rehabilitation, tinnitus management and APD assessment.
Mainduties of the job
We are an Audiologist-led service and, as a member of the Children s Hearing team, the post holder will be supported to develop skills to provide age-appropriate audiological assessments and hearing aid reviews. This will include the provision of information, advice and emotional support to patients and their relatives/carers referred for investigation, diagnosis and treatment.
Person specification Qualifications- BSc (Hons) Audiology or equivalent
- Able to register or be registered for ACHS (RCCP)
- Clinical audiology experience
- Clinical audiology experience within the NHS and as Band 5
- Good oral and written & organisational skills
- Good interpersonal/time management skills
- Evidence of post basic training
- Holds full driving licence
- Adaptable to meet service needs
- A car driver with a full current driving licence and own transport is essential
- Good Team Player
