We are looking for a Therapy Coordinator to join our team at Acer Clinic, Upper House. This is a position within an adult female acute ward. The role involves working 42 hours a week on a rolling shift pattern, from 08:00 to 20:00, including weekends and evenings.

Cygnet Acer Clinic is a 28-bed service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs or acute mental health needs. Care is provided in a therapeutic environment, with a level of security matched to individual needs. The aim of the treatment, rehabilitation and re‑socialisation programme is to prepare patients for transfer to conditions of lesser security, or a life in the community.

• Encourage patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities while maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Plan and implement therapy programmes, ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
• Contribute ideas, facilitate events and activities in a safe manner.

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).

Contracted hours: 42 hours a week.

UK driving licence (desirable).
