Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Senior Structural Engineer. You can be based in one of our UK or Ireland offices whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. Our thriving UK&I multidisciplinary Water Solutions business is looking for talented Senior Structural Engineers to join our growing team. We are delivering an exciting portfolio of high‑value capital programmes and projects through long‑term frameworks with major clients in the water sector.

• Deploy technical excellence in the design of a wide range of heavy civil engineering structures, from deep below‑ground pumping stations to large above‑ground water‑retaining concrete structures, and complex piled foundations to steel‑framed buildings.
• Develop structural solutions to interesting and often complex challenges, lead and oversee detailed design activities by others, and prepare detailed designs yourself.
• Challenge the norm by identifying and implementing innovative ideas, best practice and new ways of thinking and working to help deliver value for our clients.
• Lead the structural design of projects and mentor and support the professional development of team members, fostering positive client relationships.
• Interface with other project design disciplines and harness excellent communication skills when dealing with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Prepare and review high‑quality drawings, calculations, specifications and reports to communicate solutions.
• Review and sign‑off project deliverables with a focus on compliance and efficiency.

• A degree or equivalent qualification and experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional institution; for example, ICE, IStruct

• Experience in developing robust and efficient structural solutions and managing technical delivery in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience in structural design using appropriate standards and specifications.
• Strong collaboration and coordination skills between teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Passion for delivering technical solutions and leading technical teams.
