Project Manager, Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering

Do you understand the challenges facing the Utilities & Energy sector? It's the integration and maintaining of controls systems and PLC's including legacy infrastructure, cyber security, and the need for skilled personnel. These challenges are further complicated by the increasing adoption of renewable energy sources and the transition to smart grids which require sophisticated and interconnected control systems.

The role will be based in Chesterfield where they're looking to grow in leading cross‑functional teams to coordinate with stakeholders, and ensuring on‑time, within‑budget delivery of integrated systems.

Having a strong technical background in PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems, with hands‑on understanding of industrial protocols and control systems architecture would be exactly what we're looking for and being adept at managing project life cycles from conception through commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

• Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables for control systems projects (e.g., PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI systems).
• Create and manage detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate control system design, development, testing, and commissioning activities with engineering teams.
• Ensure integration of hardware, software, and communication systems is delivered according to specification

• Leading multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, and commissioning.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Experience with project management methodologies
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
