Technique Training is a leading UK provider of electrical and technical training. We’re known for hands‑on delivery, small class sizes (1–10), individual workstations, and a supportive approach that helps learners succeed—whether they’re experienced tradespeople or career changers.
We’re hiring an Electrical Trainer / Assessor based at our Chesterfield (Clay Cross) centre. This role is ideal for either an experienced trainer/assessor or an electrician looking to step into training (we’ll support the transition and qualifications where needed).
What you’ll do- Deliver high-quality electrical training (workshop + classroom) with a practical, learner-first approach
- Support learners with confidence, competence, and exam readiness
- Assess learner work and maintain accurate learner records (where applicable)
- Contribute to course improvement, standardisation, and keeping content aligned to current regs
- Maintain a safe, professional workshop environment
- Level 2/3 electrical installation skills and underpinning knowledge
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- Inspection & Testing (e.g., 2391 or equivalent)
- AM2 preparation / NVQ evidence support (where applicable)
- Strong electrical industry experience (installation/testing background)
- Up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 and safe working practices
- Clear communication and a supportive style with adult learners
- Gold card or abolity to obtain one
- Assessor qualification (CAVA/TAQA/A1) and/or IQA (V1)
- 18th Edition and/or 2391 (or equivalent)
