The Supply Register are pleased to be working in partnership with Birley Academy, supporting the school with high-quality staffing solutions.

We are currently recruiting a General Cover Teacher to work on a supply basis at Birley Academy. This role is ideal for qualified teachers who are flexible, confident in managing a classroom, and able to deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular class teacher.

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
• Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment
• Ensure students remain on task and engaged in their learning
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A good understanding of safeguarding
• High expectations of student behaviour and engagement
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
