Up to £48,000 per annum (not pro rata)

About the Role

Bluebank School is seeking an leistungs Teacher and English Lead to join our dedicated team at our new Acorn Education school. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced educator to shape the future of English provision, lead subject development, and deliver high‑quality teaching in a supportive and innovative environment.

We are looking for a dynamic English Subject Lead to drive excellence across our English curriculum and play a pivotal role in shaping teaching and learning within the school. Working closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and wider leadership team, you will champion high standards, innovative practice, and outstanding outcomes for students.

What You’ll Do Mwen
  • Lead the development and delivery of the English curriculum, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning
  • Model outstanding teaching and support staff through coaching, demonstration lessons, and guidance
  • Mentor and develop new staff, including NQTs and colleagues taking on new responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with planning, assessment, target‑setting, and effective use of data
  • Conduct classroom observations and contribute to performance management processes
  • Stay up to date with best practice in English education and share expertise across the department
  • Oversee departmental operations, including weekly meetings, reviews, and documentation
  • Support exam processes alongside senior leaders, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR compliance, and SEN alignment
  • Contribute to whole‑school initiatives, promoting innovation and excellence in teaching and learning
Qualifications Required
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
