Education Personnel are proudly supporting a warm, nurturing and community-focused primary school in Chesterfield, Derbyshire in appointing a dedicated SEND Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a SEND Teacher who is passionate about inclusive practice and committed to supporting children with a diverse range of needs.

• Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEND across the primary age range
• Adapt activities, resources and teaching approaches to ensure accessibility and meaningful engagement
• Work in close partnership with teaching assistants, SENCOs and external specialists to implement personalised support plans
• Develop pupils' communication, emotional regulation, independence and confidence
• Support children with EHCPs through well-planned, targeted interventions
• Build strong, positive relationships with families to promote consistency and wellbeing
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold a nurturing, inclusive ethos

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, but not essential for the right SEND-focused practitioner
• Experience working as a SEND Teacher, or strong interest in developing SEND specialism
• Knowledge of adaptive teaching, personalised learning and differentiated approaches
• Awareness of supporting pupils with communication needs, sensory needs or learning differences
• Strong communication, teamwork and reflective practice skills
• Patience, empathy and commitment to supporting every child to achieve
