Are you an Estimator with experience in commercial interiors, office fit-out, or refurbishment projects?
A well‑established design-and-build contractor in Chesterfield is looking to appoint a detail‑focused Estimator to support their growing project pipeline across the Midlands and South Yorkshire regions.
This role sits within a collaborative pre‑construction team and offers long‑term stability, excellent progression, and the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial interior projects.

The Role
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, working closely with the design team, supply chain, and project management to cost a range of fit-out and refurbishment schemes. This is a key role for someone who enjoys variety, technical challenge, and ownership of the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed estimates for commercial interior design, fit-out and refurbishment projects
Interpret drawings, specifications, and project information to prepare competitive tenders
Manage enquiries and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
Assess project risks, constraints, and value‑engineering opportunities
Work closely with pre‑construction, design, and commercial teams
Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and final tender submissions
Support the handover process to delivery teams following successful bids
Maintain accurate cost databases and supply‑chain relationships

About You
Experience as an Estimator within commercial interiors, fit‑out, refurbishment, or general construction
Strong understanding of materials, subcontract packages, and construction methodologies
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications
Confident communicator with strong numeracy and analytical abilities
Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
Proficient with estimating software / Excel and standard IT tools
