We are currently supporting a growing fire protection contractor who is looking to appoint a Pre-Construction Administrator / Project Coordinator to join their team in Chesterfield.
This role sits within the pre-construction team, supporting the planning and coordination of passive fire survey programmes across live contracts. The position has become available due to an increase in administrative workload and the need for additional coordination support to ensure projects remain on programme.
The successful candidate will play an important role in organising resident access and coordinating survey works, ensuring surveyors are able to attend site and complete works in line with contract deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinating and scheduling passive fire survey programmes
* Contacting residents to arrange and confirm access appointments
* Supporting the delivery of compartmentation surveys, including:
* Fire door surveys
* Fire stopping inspections
* Visual compartmentation surveys
* Intrusive surveys where required
* Managing survey schedules and updating programmes as required
* Communicating with surveyors, project teams, and residents
* Assisting the pre-construction team with administrative and coordination tasks
* Responding quickly to changes in schedules or site requirements
* Supporting the survey to estimate process where required
Requirements
* Previous experience within construction, passive fire, or fire protection environments
* Strong organisational and coordination skills
* Comfortable managing high volumes of appointments and scheduling
* Proactive approach with the ability to work under pressure
* Good communication skills when liaising with residents and project teams
* Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Understanding of construction or survey processes is advantageous
Package
* Salary of £32,000 – £35,000 per year
