Warehouse Operative

Location: Cheshire West and Chester

LOCATION IS NORTH WEST - KELSALL / TARPORLEY AREA CW POSTCODE - CHESHIRE
Meridian business support is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Van Driver for an online retailer based near Tarporley on a temporary to permanent basis.
You will be working Monday to Friday (no weekends) 8am-5pm with an hourly rate of £12.30 - £12.60.
Full, clean UK Driving License is essential.
As Warehouse Operative you will be working in a team of other Warehouse and Yard Operatives with a variety of duties which will include heavy lifting of furniture as well as driving the van twice per week.
Duties as below:
 
* Unloading of 40ft shipping containers (Full of furniture) decanting into the warehouse
 
* Picking furniture from the warehouse ready to load on 3.5 tonne vans
 
* Load the vans, securing the furniture in place
 
* Picking furniture for Amazon PRIME, DPD and their 3rd Party delivery partner
 
* Labelling the furniture and loading onto their delivery partners' vans
 
* General warehousing duties, def ragging and creating space
 
* Unloading of returning vehicles from delivery runs
 
* Sorting Returns
 
* Light repairs to returned stock
 
* Readying items for sale on eBay
Skills and Experience

Required:

* Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or Yard Operative
 
* Full Clean Driving License essential
 
* Experience in driving a 3.5 tonne van preferable
 
* Good knowledge of warehouse activities including picking, dispatch and return
