A TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder in the UK fabricates and repairs metal components using TIG welding techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welding and Fabrication:
Performing high-quality TIG welds on various metals (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum)
- Blueprint Reading:
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Equipment Maintenance:
Ensuring welding equipment is in good working condition
- Safety Compliance:
Adhering to UK health and safety regulations (e.g., HSE guidelines)
- Quality Control:
Inspecting welds for quality and accuracy
Typically requires:
- CSWIP certification or equivalent (e.g., AWS, EAW)
