PSV Fitter / Mechanic – Chester Depot
We are looking for a skilled and motivated PSV Mechanic/Fitter to join our fantastic engineering team at our Chester (Hawarden) Depot. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining and improving the reliability of our fleet and helping keep our passengers moving every day.
Hours:
Mon – Sat, 5 days, 38 hours per week with on-call rota every 4 weeks.
Salary: £36,260 p/y (£18.35 p/h) + On Call Allowance + Overtime.
What you’ll be doing- Vehicle servicing, inspections & repairs
- Diagnosing mechanical & electrical faults
- Preparing buses for MOTs
- Supporting reliability improvement campaigns
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV/HGV Maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 points)
- IRTEC & PCV licences preferred (not essential)
- Diagnostic and electrical skills desirable
- Experience working with PSV's or similar vehicles
- 21 days holiday + Bank Holidays (Rising to 26 after 5 years)
- Overtime paid at: x1.5 Mon–Sat, x2 Sun
- Use of company breakdown vehicle whilst on-call
