Applicants will be reviewed on a daily basis; advert will close once a suitable candidate is selected.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance on Welsh Water asset base, following company procedures to minimize plant breakdowns.
- Investigate plant failures and perform repairs quickly and efficiently to avoid service interruptions and maintain compliance.
- Complete like‑for‑like installations, refurbishment and commissioning of equipment to specification and on time.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings of various equipment, ensuring correct tolerance and fits for efficient plant operation.
- Maintain general knowledge of treatment processes and asset variations for rapid problem assessment and resolution.
- Inspect, repair, install and test mechanical and electrical equipment to meet mandatory legislative requirements.
- Actively participate in Risk Assessment, COSHH assessment and other Health and Safety activities.
- Assess spares and material needs to complete work effectively; order items where necessary via supervisor or supplier.
- Implement and maintain the Information Management System (IMS) to ISO standard, keeping records for internal and BSI audits.
- Use a mobile device to record all work details and logged time.
- Liaise closely within the Alliance Partnership to ensure effective implementation of large capital schemes.
- Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical or dual‑skilled engineering (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate; experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Practical experience from apprenticeship supporting compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Mechanical bias.
- Company vehicle provided.
- Stand‑by rota participation required.
