Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Maternity Cover – Fixed Term Contract)

Client Services (Delivery) | Chester (Hybrid) or Remote (UK)

Reports to: Account Director

Contract Length: 12 months

At R3, we help ambitious brands grow through strategy, marketing and technology - and great delivery is what makes that possible.

We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager (maternity cover fixed-term contract) to step into a key role within our Delivery team, leading digital projects from kick-off to launch and beyond.

If you’re someone who brings structure, calm, and high standards – and you care about quality as much as momentum – we’d love to hear from you.

The Role (In a Nutshell)

You’ll step into a key role within our Delivery function, leading digital projects end-to-end and working closely with account, design, UX, development, CRO, content and marketing teams. You’ll bring clarity, structure and momentum to delivery, helping teams do their best work and ensuring our clients feel confident and well looked after.

This is a senior, hands‑on role, you’ll lead projects across web, UX, development, CRO and performance marketing – often involving complex builds, multiple stakeholders and tight delivery timelines. We’re looking for someone who can confidently steer complex projects, manage risk, handle difficult conversations, and raise the bar for delivery quality.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading projects from kick‑off through to launch and post‑launch delivery
  • Managing scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing and delivery quality
  • Keeping clients informed, aligned and confident throughout
  • Supporting internal teams to deliver work efficiently and to a high standard
  • Embedding quality and QA thinking into delivery from the outset

This role can be hybrid or fully remote – we’re focused on finding someone with the right skills and experience, not a specific location.

Key Responsibilities Delivery leadership
  • Owning the planning and delivery of multiple digital projects
  • Creating clear, realistic delivery plans that teams and clients can trust
  • Proactively managing risk, dependencies and change
  • Making smart decisions when priorities shift and helping clients understand trade‑offs
Client management
  • Work with the Account Managers to lead client meetings and delivery launches with confidence
  • Managing expectations and navigating challenging conversations when needed
  • Building strong, trusted client relationships through transparency and clarity
Team coordination
  • Working closely with Account Managers, design, development, CRO and marketing teams
  • Coordinating resourcing, timelines and dependencies across work streams
  • Removing blockers and encouraging collaboration
  • Keeping internal communication clear, calm and constructive
Quality & QA
  • Championing quality across all stages of delivery
  • Supporting teams to define what “done” looks like for each deliverable
  • Ensuring QA is planned, tracked and completed – not rushed at the end
  • Helping teams spot issues early, keep track of them clearly, and make sure fixes are properly tested before launch
  • Supporting smooth releases and launch readiness
What We’re Looking For

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has strong experience delivering digital projects within an agency environment
  • Is confident managing multiple projects, stakeholders and priorities
  • Understands the digital landscape (web, UX, CRO, development, content, marketing)
  • Is comfortable talking about budget, scope, risk, resourcing and performance
  • Brings structure, calm and clarity to fast‑moving delivery environments
  • Communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Comfortable using Jira, Monday and experience in MS Project (or similar tools) for project planning
  • Experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies
QA experience

For this role, QA experience is important. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience working with QA processes (formal or informal)
  • A strong eye for detail and a natural instinct for quality
  • Experience coordinating testing and managing bugs or defects
  • Confidence working closely with developers and designers to resolve issues
  • Experience supporting release planning and launch readiness
