A vacancy at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity to join a team of 5 occupational therapists specialising in vocational rehabilitation for a community-based service working with adults with an acquired brain injury. The focus is to assist people with achieving a return to work or other meaningful activity. The post is based at the Acorn Suite, Countess of Chester Health Park, and provides a service to the Wirral Area.
Key Responsibilities- Assist people who have had an acquired brain injury or a stroke with achieving a return to work.
- Explore steps to achieve this, including fatigue management, voluntary work and other activities of productivity.
- Work rehabilitation, work task simulation, worksite visits, job analysis.
- Liaise with employer's occupational health, HR and line managers, and work with other relevant organisations.
- Manage own caseload with support and guidance from senior OT.
The Acquired Brain Injury Service has continued to develop since its origins. The post holder will work alongside brain injury case managers, psychology assistants, consultant neuropsychologists, lived experience connectors and service user volunteers.
