The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA/ER Tech performs multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the patient.

Minimum Education
: A high school diploma or GED required. At least one year of patient care experience in a health care facility or as CNA is required.

Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations
:
Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina, or have an Emergency Medical Tech Certification for South Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
