About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement activities that delight our residents across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events, and foster a supportive environment that encourages residents to socialize, explore new hobbies, and involve the entire care team.
Responsibilities- Plan, organise and deliver a variety of activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Support the Home Manager in the planning of essential fundraising events.
- Encourage and motivate residents to engage socially, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies.
- Collaborate with the care home team to secure their participation and ensure a positive experience for all.
- Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally experience in developing activity programmes.
- Strong planning, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and an approachable, kind demeanor when interacting with residents and colleagues.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and the ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, and report concerns appropriately.
