Control and Instrumentation Engineer

Control & Instrumentation Engineer Chester Permanent £50,000 £ 60,000

Role Overview:

• Deliver C&I engineering on complex, regulated projects

• Produce technical documentation, specifications, and logic simulations

• Review subcontractor designs and attend factory acceptance tests

• Analyse plant/process data to identify efficiency improvements

• Support project proposals, schedules, cost forecasts, and maintain design standards

• Travel to European suppliers and project sites as required

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline

• Proven experience in control system design for process-based environments

• Knowledge of PLC hardware, SCADA/HMI, instrumentation design, and compliance standards (UKCA, CE, UL)

• Experience with subcontractors and multinational teams

• Strong technical writing, equipment testing, and interpersonal skills

• French or German language skills advantageous
