Building and Construction Project Leader

Building & Construction Project Leader Broughton, UK (Onsite) typically 4.5 days of work 12-month contract (extension possible) Up to £42 per hour Inside IR35 A Building & Construction Project Leader is required to support a major international aerospace, space and defence organisation , delivering CAPEX-funded construction and building services projects within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This is a client-side project leadership role , responsible for managing projects from early feasibility and design through to site delivery and final handover.

The role requires strong construction project management capability and experience working within secure, compliance-driven facilities.

Key Responsibilities Lead building and construction CAPEX projects from feasibility through to handover Act as the client-side Project Lead , managing external consultants and contractors Set up and manage multi-functional project teams (MFTs) Develop and maintain project delivery plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and business cases Lead the design and specification of building services, including refurbishment and major plant replacement Monitor site activities, contractor performance, quality, cost, and H&S compliance Ensure full compliance with internal procedures, technical standards, and regulatory requirements Manage professional service work packages and validate delivery outputs Produce project reports, cost updates, and technical documentation Required Skills & Experience Proven client-side Project Management experience within building and construction (essential) Strong background in construction and building services project delivery (essential) Experience delivering refurbishment or small-to-medium CAPEX projects in live environments Experience managing external consultants and construction contractors Good practical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Knowledge of construction H&S legislation and compliance requirements Sustainability project delivery experience (essential)
