Freelance Estimator

Your new company You'll be joining a leading organisation delivering essential infrastructure projects within the utilities sector. This is an urgent requirement for a skilled professional to support a high-profile contract. Your new role As a Freelance Estimator, you will provide estimating support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance. Your responsibilities will include:
Producing accurate and timely estimates for ongoing projects Advising senior management on commercial influences and risks Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to gather cost data Ensuring supplier/subcontractor terms align with client requirements and assessing any deviations Prioritising workload to meet business needs Influencing key stakeholders and implementing process improvements What you'll need to succeed Proven experience within the water or utilities industry Strong Excel proficiency Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating for water/wastewater projects Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities What you'll get in return A competitive day rate depending on experience Flexible hybrid working (majority remote with occasional site visits) Opportunity to work on a critical project with a collaborative team Contract running until April 2026 What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
