Weld Shop Manager

Location:

Salary: $70k-90k

Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring efficiency and productivity
- Manage a team of shop employees, providing guidance and support
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders to meet deadlines
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control
- Train new employees on shop procedures and safety protocols

Skills:

- Proficient in sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of using calipers for precise measurements
- Experience in rigging heavy equipment or materials
- Familiarity with plasma cutting equipment and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in using hand tools for various tasks

- Experience with micrometers for accurate measurements
- Forklift operation skills for material handling
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication and installation
