Com Well is a community mental health agency committed to meeting the needs of our community. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference every day, read on! This position will provide mental health counseling in Chester, IL 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have prior counseling experience with children, adolescents, teens, and their families and will possess excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Master’s Level in Human Services related field or counseling and License preferred. Teacher’s aides, substitute teachers, etc, encouraged to apply only if you have matching credentials. Experience with children is a must for this position, but candidates must also have the appropriate educational requirements. Understand the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients and families and be competent in delivering trauma‑informed interventions that lessen the symptoms associated with trauma while improving the quality of life for clients.
• Have an awareness of and commitment to counselor self‑care practices that prevent or lessen the impact of secondary traumatisation with staff and self.
• Participate in and recognise role in Performance and Quality Improvement (
  * PQI*) initiatives. Have general awareness on the importance of quality improvement throughout the organization. Identify opportunities for improvement through data, observation of operations or consultationalendar with staff, residents, families or other stakeholders. Identification and input into opportunities for improvement is strongly encouraged.
• Conduct intake, screening and assessment activities that are client centred, recovery focused and trauma informed to determine the nature and extent of problem areas of individuals who are requesting services.
