Chef - Bank

Overview

As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus for residents, using fresh seasonal produce and tailoring menus to residents' preferences.

Bank Chef duties include:

• Work with fresh seasonal food and tailor menus around residents' preferences
• Assist the Head Chef in their absence and lead the kitchen in their stead
• Work within budget and complete regular audits
• Manage stock control and oversee and motivate a team
• Contribute to a warm, efficient and welcoming environment

• Hold City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent
• Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
• Good understanding of nutrition and HACCP
• Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
• A personable and warm approach with genuine interest in residents' wellbeing
