A dynamic and forward‑thinking organisation is seeking a talented Research Scientist to join its growing biotechnology team. In this exciting role, you will support the development and scale up of cutting‑edge microbial processes, working at the forefront of sustainable innovation.

• Develop and optimise scalable microbial cell culture processes from lab to pilot scale.
• Apply strain engineering and advanced molecular biology techniques across microbial systems.
• Support process scale up and downstream development for industrial implementation.
• Work closely with internal production teams and external partners to ensure successful tech transfer.
• Collaborate with commercial, regulatory, IP, applications, and sales teams to align on project goals.
• Contribute to the smooth transition of processes into commercial scale manufacture.

• Strong academic background in microbiology, biotechnology or chemical engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise in microbial cell culture, fungal strain engineering, and genetic manipulation.
• Skilled in molecular biology techniques, including cloning and DNA/RNA work.
• Confident communicator and collaborator with technical and commercial teams.
