This role operates on a 4-week rolling rota covering evenings, weekends and on-call duties. Shifts include weekday evening work (4:30pm–12am),
weekend day shifts (9am–6pm) and overnight on-call cover
. The post is based on 1,929 hours per year
, with remaining hours used for on-call, training, supervision, meetings and cover for leave. Full rota details will be discussed at interview.

As expected, you’ll be conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring that appropriate services and resources are in place for the individual's needs. The role requires expertise in mental health legislation and knowledge of the social care system. Additionally, the AMHP social worker will work closely with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure that the individual receives the best possible care and support.

As this is a statutory role you will need a Social Work Qualification and registration to Social Work England.
