$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

At Comfort Keepers, you will spend your days providing joy, friendship and at-home health care services to seniors and other adults in need of some extra help. As a caregiver, you will allow a senior the familiarity and comfort of staying in their own home without compromising their medical and non-medical care. In addition to maintaining a senior’s health and wellbeing, you will work to provide positive experiences that enhance the quality of his or her life.

• Provides companionship to individuals, offering conversation and emotional reassurance.
• Provides friendly assistance to ensure a safe, protected, and orderly environment.
• Supports daily activities including dressing guidance, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, errands, laundry and light housekeeping.
• Provides transportation to doctor’s appointments, beauty shops, etc.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Performs duties as assigned on the care service plan.
• Personal care duties (case and skill dependent): assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver's License, Automobile Insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Submit to Criminal Background Investigation and Motor Vehicle Driving Record checks
• Submit to Pre-Employment Drug Screening

• PCA, HHA, and CNA license or at least one year of professional caregiving experience
• Open availability strongly preferred

• Staff trained in infectious disease control.
• Caregivers do not care for individuals who exhibit signs of or have tested positive for the virus as a safety measure for themselves and other clients and families.
• Caregivers stay home if ill to prevent spreading illness.
• Staff follow CDC-directed hygiene procedures, including frequent handwashing, use of sanitizing gel, disinfectant wipes, proper coughing/sneezing techniques, and safe disposal of contaminated items.
• If signs of COVID-19 appear, staff and clients are managed according to national and local guidelines.
