Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Cheshire, Connecticut. This long-term contract position focuses on ensuring accurate billing, efficient payment collection, and effective account management. The ideal candidate will excel in client communication, compliance, and maintaining detailed financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Generate and review invoices with precision, aligning them with service agreements and company policies.

- Address client inquiries professionally, providing clear explanations and resolving billing discrepancies.

- Process payments, including checks and credit cards, and accurately record transactions in the system.

- Maintain and update client information in Quick Books and other software systems to ensure data accuracy.

- Handle denied or incomplete claims by resubmitting them with proper documentation and follow-up.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues and enhance workflow processes.

- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies while keeping comprehensive billing records.

- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on billing activities, outstanding payments, and financial performance.

- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the billing and collections function. Requirements - Proficiency with accounting software systems such as Quick Books and Epic Software.

- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and billing functions.

- Experience with claims management and collection activities.

- Familiarity with CRM systems and Accurint for client information management.

- Ability to handle inbound calls and communicate effectively with clients.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for managing financial records.

- Knowledge of compliance standards related to billing and payment processing.

- Previous experience using ADP for financial services tasks.
