This role is part of Lane's 2-year Field Engineer Development Program (FEDP). The Field Engineer will spend the first six months supporting Lane's Cost Control Team in Cheshire, CT
. After six months, the Field Engineer will relocate to a project site to complete the program and gain hands‑on field experience.
- Handles both office and field responsibilities to meet the project requirements, including implementation of scheduled work and tracking data.
- Assists in the scheduling and planning of project activities.
- Prepares cost and time estimates to aid in meeting budget.
- Performs take‑offs.
- Creates submittals.
- Assists with survey activities.
- Tracks job quantities and costs during project activities.
- Identifies conflicts between design plans and onsite conditions.
- Coordinates with third‑party utility providers to ensure all utilities are identified and located prior to work execution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related. Must be willing to relocate.
