- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
- Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
- Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
- Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
- Warehouse job experience 0-2 years
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers.
- Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals for the company.
- An understanding of purchase order software platforms.
- Good attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.
- Required up to 50 lbs.
- The work will require you to position yourself regularly to be stationary for 50% of your work-day, and ascend/descend stairs, and kneeling and/or squatting for the remainder of your work-day.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Exposed to work environments that may contain dirt and dust.
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a polytechnic/technical college or technical degree preferred.
