Position Overview
GVI Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Shipboard Installer to join our Team in Chesapeake, VA.
Position Responsibilities- Perform cable installation, removal, and cableway finalization onboard U.S. Navy Ships
- Perform cable fabrication, termination, and connector building in accordance with drawings and quality specifications
- Follow direction, interpret installation drawings, and work as part of a team
- High School diploma or GED equivalent with 0-4 years of relevant experience sufficient to perform maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of U.S. Navy or NAVSEA combat systems is a plus
- Prior AIT or military experience is a plus
- Ability to work in an industrial shipyard environment is required
- Ability to carry 50 lbs up and down ladder wells is required
- Proficiency with common ship repair tools of the trade is required
- Periods of extensive travel may be required
- Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance
