Maintenance Technician II – Dollar Tree Stores
We are looking for a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician II to join our warehouse team. You’ll be proud to work for a successful, stable, growing Fortune 135 Company committed to safety and community service.
Essential Job Functions- Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyor systems, sortation systems, and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
- Adjust scanners, cameras,amman field buses, scales, and printer applicators.
- Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components such as belts central chains, cables, and wear components like guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys.
- Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment.
- Use appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, encoders, etc.
- Assist with basic electronics and programmable logic controller (PLC) troubleshooting.
- Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of industrial robots.
- Utilize handheld devices and asset management systems to create and close work orders with accurate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, parts alidator
Context; used and parts used). - Develop and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE (Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out, Arc Flash, etc.) to ensure a safe work environment.
- Develop a knowledge base of systems within the Distribution Center.
- Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe working environment for the Maintenance department.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with customers, suppliers, and associates to minimize equipment downtime.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, Trouble SI other powered equipment.
Job Requirements
- PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measurement.
- Experience in work‑order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding, industrial controlslaan electronics, troubleshooting basic input‑output functions, PLC programming.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred:
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field from a vocational school or college. - 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) stability standards.
- Experience with robotic operation/maintenance.
- MSSC.gov Certified Logistic Technician certification.
