Position Overview: Seventy percent or more of the job's work time is spent operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables.

Other hydro‑vac work includes tank entry, cleaning and vacuuming, mobilization of equipment, truck maintenance, and safety meetings. Heavy lifting, working at heights, and traveling, both in town and out of state, may be required.

Essential Functions:

• CDL‑A or CDL‑B driver's license with Tanker endorsement, no restrictions.
• Document all Company, Federal, State, and Customer documentation/paperwork clearly and legibly as required.
• Communicate professionally with on‑site customer representatives to locate the safest parking location for equipment.
• Lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties safely, timely, and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs as needed.
• Demonstrate safety‑mindedness.
• Travel out of town and out of state as required.
• Lift, push, pull 60+ pounds and operate heavy equipment.
• Work flexible hours.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Navigating field tool applications.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent and OSHA
10 safety card certification required. Hydro Excavators, LLC will pay for computer‑based training if applicant does not hold OSHA
10 certification; training to be completed within 5 days of hiring.

Special Knowledge/

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of emergency processes and procedures.
• Underground utility or construction experience a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
