Security Officer – Parking Garage Patrol – Chesapeake, VA. Part‑time. Pay Rate: $17.66 per hour.

Work schedule:

Monday and Tuesday, 1:45 PM – 6:00 PM.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate check‑in locations per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as directed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs related to patrols, inspections, incidents, and security‑related observations using required reporting tools and maintaining confidentiality of site information.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
