We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endocrinology team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and compassionate professional with excellent clinical and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, compassionate care and outstanding customer service to patients.
- Perform general nursing duties as directed by physicians and office management.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs and relevant health information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Administer medications and injections with proper technique, documenting medication name, dosage, lot number, route, and any reactions in the patient’s record.
- Update patient records regularly, including medications, allergies, family history, and other pertinent health information.
- Respond to patient phone calls, triage concerns, and relay messages to providers as needed.
- Support a collaborative and positive team environment by working effectively with colleagues and providers.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing degree from an accredited program preferred.
- Previous experience in Endocrinology or chronic disease management strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, medical terminology, and outpatient care practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills; experience with EMRs preferred.
- Willingness to travel to satellite offices as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
