CNC Lathe Machinist

Hourly 28-30/hr

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on CNC Lathe Machinist who can:
Set up CNC lathes (not just run them)
Load pre-set tooling + load programs
Edit programs on the machine (G/M-Code tweaks)
Perform "first article" test cuts and measurements
Make mechanical + program adjustments
Operate conventional/manual machines (lathe/mill)
Conduct minor machine maintenance

Required Skills & Experience

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience running, setting up, and operating CNC Lathes.

Ability to machine with Steel & Aluminum

Experience with measuring tools (ie, Micrometers, Calipers, Height gauges, & Bore gauges)

Basic level of G/M Code knowledge for on-the-job adjustments.

Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints

Provide feedback on equipment, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and work holding solutions to reduce setup times and eliminate rework.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with FANUC CNC control panels.
