QA Inspector
Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright, is looking for a QA Inspector. You will perform a variety of inspections, checks and tests for quality control for the manufacturing of products. You are familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. You will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision.
You have a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. You will be responsible for accepting, rejecting and ordering rework of the item.
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Rate: $22.00 to $26.00

- Inspect – Verify and document the condition of a wide variety of materials, components and assemblies, including identification, documentation, physical attributes, dimensional checks, etc. as required.
- Record – Complete Accept/Reject records on physical forms and/or electronic forms.
- Ship – Perform and complete final inspection requirements and forms.
- Maintain inspection equipment – cage calibration, controls and records, etc.
- Utilize various equipment including, but not limited to:
Micrometers, Verniers, Hardness Tester, portable CMM, etc. - Operate material handling equipment (such as pallet jack, forklift, jib crane, overhead crane, etc.) within facility to position and transport work to or from work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of geometric tolerance.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance.
