Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Outside Machinist/Machinist Mate/Rigger to join our team for work at multiple sites, including BAE and our shop, for the next 18 months. The role involves a variety of mechanical duties such as removing pumps and motors, operating hand and power tools, and disassembling machinery. This position requires manual tasks, including pulling chains.

• Remove pumps and motors.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Disassemble machinery as required.
• Perform manual tasks such as pulling chains.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with components such as valves, fans, coolers, pumps, motors, generators, and elevators.

• Basic hand tools and carrying bag are required.
• Tools including wrenches, ratchet, sockets, ball peen hammer, crescent wrenches, pipe wrench, tape measure, flashlight, chisels, punches, screwdrivers, vise grips, channel lock pliers, needle nose pliers, and wire cutter pliers.

Work is conducted at various sites including BAE and our shop. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Required attire includes hard hat, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses. No respirator is needed for this role.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake,VA.
