The Machine Operator plays a central role in producing high-quality fireplaces and related components. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production.

• Maintain machinery to ensure safety and functionality.

• Assist with packaging and ensure products meet quality standards.

• Perform manual and physical labor, often outdoors and in varied weather conditions.

• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately.

• Experience with machine operation and forklift handling.

• Ability to perform general production, assembly, and packaging tasks.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

• Proficiency in reading tape measures.

• Experience in moving material, staging, and pallet handling.

The work environment includes music playing on speakers throughout the day, although it is not climate-controlled and involves outdoor work. It is a very physical job, requiring adaptability across various production areas. The warehouse is equipped with fans and misters in the summer to enhance comfort.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake, VA.
