Job Title: Motor Mechanic
Compensation: $30-$42 per hour (Based on Experience and shift choice)

Company Overview:

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Motor Mechanics to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling a variety of large industrial electric motors, ensuring they are fully operational, meet safety standards, and are ready for customer use. This is a hands‑on position ideal for candidates with motor repair experience, particularly in industrial or maritime settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and reassemble motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues such as oil leaks, vibration problems, and other performance concerns.
  • Perform test runs on rebuilt motors to verify performance and functionality.
  • Handle miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Must have own tools (testing equipment is provided by the company).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physically able to safely operate equipment and handle materials up to 50 pounds; capable of standing, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet customer requirements.

Additional

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in motor shops, with a background in paper mills or shipboard mechanics (not nuclear motors).
  • Mechanic experience with large industrial motors, particularly in non‑nuclear environments.

Note:
This position requires a successful drug and background screening. We are a service‑driven company that operates 24/7/365, and our employees must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
