The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
** Brief Department Description
** RTX Raytheon Real Estate Services has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the Chesapeake Bay Va site.
** What will you do:
*** The position focus will be to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all infrastructure systems including HVAC, Chilled Water Distribution, pumps, motors, and frontend Building automation controls.
* In this role you need to perform as a first night shift compressed facilities mechanic supporting plant operations.
* This role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts in order to cover the site 24/7 from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am.
* Provide coverage and support for the facility days/nights/weekends if business, schedule, or emergency situations arise.
** What type of experience will be gained through this position
*** The hired applicant will learn how to manage facilities operations in a 2 Million square foot manufacturing building.  They will gain technical experience working alongside senior mechanics and contractors.  They will also learn to troubleshoot large infrastructure equipment and controls.
** Qualifications you must have:
*** This role typically requires an HS Diploma or GED or AA/AS degree (or another 2 year post HS training) and 4 or more years of relevant experience
* At least 4 years’ experience in (three or more) of the following areas:  + HVAC and Building Automation Controls  + Maintenance of pumps, motors, valve and actuator operation  + Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems  + Refrigeration cycles
* At least 2 years’ experience with and strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics as well as knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation
** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Computer acumen to include a strong understanding of the function and application of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.
* Customer Focused with strong Oral/ Written Communication skills
* Expertise in Electrical, VFD's and motor controls and leading team members
* PLC controls troubleshooting
* Journeyman level license in relevant field
