Orthotic Technician – Adapt Health
Adapt Health offers full‑service home medical equipment products and services designed to empower patients to live their best lives outside the hospital and in their homes. We are actively recruiting in your area for an Orthotic Technician who will support certified practitioners with orthotic fitting and assist in delivering equipment and ongoing care to patients.

Job Responsibilities- Supports and collaborates with orthotic practitioners in evaluating and analyzing a patient’s need for orthotic services.
- Under the supervision of a certified practitioner, examines and evaluates patient’s needs in relation to disease and functional loss.
- Performs fitting and executes minor modifications under direct supervision of an Orthotic Fitter or Physician as needed.
- Assists Orthotic Fitters in evaluating orthotic devices on patients, adjusting to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work.
- Instructs patient in use of prescribed device and reconciles issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Under supervision of an Orthotic Fitter or Manager, carries out treatment that utilizes rehabilitation equipment and cares for braces, prostheses, bandages, and other assistive devices as required.
- Assumes on‑call responsibilities during non‑business hours in accordance with company policy.
- Monitors patients over time, makes necessary changes to devices, and follows up with patients and physicians as needed.
- Provides detailed clinical notes to patient records and complies with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
- Participates in educational and professional programs and/or reviews professional literature on an ongoing basis to maintain current knowledge and competency.
- Ensures services comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, including those from CMS, PA Dept. Of Health, DOT, FDA, OSHA, and the company’s accreditation organization.
- Enter patient demographic information in database for insurance/qualification verification.
- Delivers orthotic equipment on time to various locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalency is required.
- One (1) year of experience providing customer services in a HME, health care setting, medical office, sports rehab, fitness, or retail environment is required.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.
