Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with BLS, ACLS, and RCIS, RCVT or RCES certification for a full-service cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a cardiac catheterization laboratory with the potential to be assigned to electrophysiology or cath holding departments
- Primarily adult cardiac patient population undergoing minimally invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
- Shifts are either 5x8 or 4x10 days, with shift times varying between 7 AM and 7 PM
- Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required, averaging up to 12 on-call days per month
- Unit covers full-service electrophysiology as well as minimally invasive cardiac procedures
- Duties include assisting with minimally invasive cardiac catheterization procedures and electrophysiology cases
- Team may be assigned across cardiac cath, electrophysiology, or cath holding as needed
- Pre-assignment modules required and must be completed before start
- No holiday time off is permitted due to facility expectations
- Scrubs or uniform requirements will be communicated upon assignment
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Allied professionals will be considered regardless of local address
- Candidates with any history of fit test issues or license/background hits will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Current RCIS, RCVT, or RCES required; ARRT certification not accepted
- Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program required
- VA or compact license must be in hand at time of consideration—no exceptions (license required if applicable)
- No prior license or background hits considered for this position
- Must be able to pass facility fit testing; PAPR cannot be accommodated
- Must provide two professional references for consideration
