Life Consultants Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Human Service Professional to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. As a Human Service Professional, you will assist in supporting individuals who are in transitional housing and/or a crisis home, helping them navigate severe mental health diagnoses and locate permanent housing. The residential crisis stabilization program is a 5‑day step‑down from the hospital, providing 24‑hour supervision and aiming to help clients stabilize, overcome suicidal thoughts, and achieve greater emotional and mental well‑being.

Typical shifts are 7 am – 3 pm, 3 pm – 11 pm, and 11 pm – 7 am; we are looking for people with open availability and are flexible in their schedule.

• Provide direct support and counseling to individuals facing various challenges
• Assist clients in setting and achieving personal goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of client progress
• Stay informed about current best practices and trends in human services
• Provide supportive counseling/crisis intervention services to individuals as needed
• Rotate between company facilities, including transitional housing and corporate office
• Transport clients to appointments and other necessary locations

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or a degree in Human Services or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Knowledge of local resources and support services
• Empathy and compassion for individuals facing challenges
• Proficiency in documentation and record keeping
