Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Connect Talent Solutions, one of Hampton Roads fastest growing companies isseeking a dynamic and motivated Project Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join our team and support our Project Manager in the successful execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have a solid understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems.

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing drawings, and maintaining project schedules to ensure the timely and efficient completion of our projects.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to understand project goals, scope, and requirements.
• Assist in reviewing and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Proactively respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from various stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information to ensure clarity in project execution.
• Maintain organized records of all RFIs, responses, and other relevant project correspondence.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules, tracking milestones, deadlines, and critical path activities.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Support the identification and resolution of potential issues or conflicts that may impact project progress.
• Gain a deep understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems within the context of construction projects.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure coordination and integration of HVAC and plumbing systems into the overall project.
• Assist in the coordination of construction activities, ensuring that work is executed in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Contribute to the preparation of progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant professional experience in construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and their integration within construction projects.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage project documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and management tools is a plus.
