Job Overview

The Logistics Support Subject Matter Expert will provide high‑level support to Program Managers in support of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) programs. Providing coordination, documentation support, training development support and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) advisement of various programs.

Work Model:
Onsite/In-Office

Responsibilities
  • Provide ILS support for C4

    ISR SME's supporting the LCS program.
  • Ability to work closely with program managers on a technical level and then translate that information into actionable capability decisions by the client organization, review the work of other engineers for accuracy and correctness, lead and collaborate with mixed teams comprised of government and industry personnel.
  • Ability to apply problem‑solving techniques when faced with complex problems under uncertainty.
  • Develop, update and maintain a schedule using Microsoft Project to develop timelines to track the completion of all ILS tasks and deliverables for the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Develop and submit recurring weekly status reports (WARs) to report on the progress of all ILS tasks and deliverables in the schedule for the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Assist with validating and assessing the status of ILS products and packages developed for the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Develop, update and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOMs) for the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Develop, update and maintain User's Logistics Support Summary (ULSS) documents for the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Develop, update and maintain ILS‑related technical data and publications that are required for the operation and maintenance of the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final ILS certifications in support of installations, upgrades, and the modernization of the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Develop, update and maintain ILS checklists for the non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Assist with collecting, uploading, and maintaining ILS‑related technical data and documentation in Government SharePoint sites, such as but not limited to, the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Acquisition Integrated Logistics Online Repository (SAILOR).
  • Track and maintain End of Life (EOL), End of Sale (EOS), and End of Service Life (EOSL) data for non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Review and provide feedback on the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) cases tracked in the Obsolescence Management Information System (OMIS) Top‑Down, Break‑Down (TDBD) reports for non‑POR C4I systems and equipment.
  • Review and provide feedback on the DMSMS monthly status reports that are submitted to the DMSMS Management Team (DMT).
