We are seeking a licensed Structural Engineer with strong expertise in Revit and Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Blast‑Resistant (BR) design to join our growing team in Virginia Beach. This role offers a clear growth path, with the selected candidate being groomed for Department Manager responsibilities as the office expands. The position will be an even split between hands‑on design work (50%) and client‑facing responsibilities (50%), making it ideal for a technically strong engineer who also thrives in a leadership and relationship‑building capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and lead structural design for Federal and DoD facilities, with a focus on AT/FP and Blast‑Resistant structures.
- Utilize Revit (mandatory) for all design and documentation tasks.
- Collaborate with the Roanoke office for drafting and design support.
- Attend and lead client meetings, representing the firm in project discussions and reviews.
- Support business growth initiatives and prepare to step into a management role as the Virginia Beach office expands.
- Ensure compliance with federal design standards and guidelines.
- 7–8 years of structural engineering experience (minimum of 4 years required to qualify for PE license).
- Active PE license (any state; reactivation of expired license is acceptable).
- Strong proficiency with Revit (AutoCAD not required).
- Hands‑on experience in Antiterrorism/Force Protection and Blast‑Resistant structural design (mandatory).
- U.S. Citizenship required (no clearance needed).
- Prior experience supporting Federal/DoD projects.
- Familiarity with Mason & Hanger, AECOM, or similar project environments.
- Strong client‑facing skills with ability to manage technical and non‑technical discussions.

Hybrid schedule:
Remote on Mondays & Fridays, onsite Tuesday‑Thursday. - Relocation support not provided; non‑local candidates must be able to start onsite from Day 1.
