Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified OB Hospitalist to serve as a locum provider in North Chesapeake, VA. This role is vital to ensuring seamless obstetric care coverage during weekends, supporting healthcare facilities with expert clinical skills and compassionate patient management. Required Skills

• Valid medical license and current credentials to practice as an OB Hospitalist in Virginia
• Proven clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, preferably in a hospitalist setting
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage obstetric emergencies with confidence and professionalism

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Bilingual abilities or multilingual proficiency
• Previous locum or temporary staffing experience in hospital settings
• Advanced certifications in obstetrics or related specialties

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in obstetrics, with recent hospitalist practice preferred

Other Requirements

• Availability to work during scheduled weekend shifts starting from 12/30/2025
• Compliance with all licensure, certification, and healthcare facility requirements
• Willingness to undergo background checks and credential verification
• Reimbursement for travel, licensure, certification, and other related expenses where applicable

Hourly Pay Rate: $214.50
